How much can we truly grasp, shape, or control who we are, writing our story between one past and the next? How do we express and present ourselves – both to our inner world and to the external gaze?
This series moves through shadow and skin, tracing the fragile line between concealment and revelation. It reflects the ongoing struggle of how much of our vulnerability we allow the world to see, and how much remains hidden even from ourselves. Self-knowledge is never complete — the “true self” is always shifting, elusive, unfinished.
Like photography itself, which arrests a moment, freezing the “now” into an immediate “then,” these images delve into the paradox of time and identity. The fabric that veils and binds the body suggests another layer: the cultural frameworks we inherit without choice, shaping and sometimes constraining us.
Each frame offers a glimpse into the intricate, often mysterious, process of becoming. It is a quiet inquiry into the characters we embody, existing somewhere, in between written and unwritten spaces.
